Million Hugs Bear
EAN 400506
Made to commemorate the year - 1907 - when
Steiff produced one million bears, this handsome 18" chap has
been made from specially selected sparse mohair and has been
softly stuffed with wood shavings to give him the look and feel
of the original version in the Steiff Museum. His Button in Ear
has been made from brushed stainless steel and features the
Steiff logo typical from this period - with the long trailing
final 'f'. This is the first time Steiff has made the button

Peter Rabbit
EAN 354755
The origins of Peter Rabbit and his siblings are as
moving as the stories themselves. In 1893, Beatrix Potter wanted to
cheer up the sick child of her former governess and sent him a very touching
illustrated letter, describing the adventures of Peter Rabbit for the first
time. Some ten years later, these poignant adventures were published
as a children's book and have since been read millions of times to small
children all over the world. This mohair Peter Rabbit is almost 8
inches tall and is made of surface washable alpaca.

BERRYMAN BEAR
EAN 669637
The cartoon that gave the “Teddy
bear” its name was illustrated by artist Clifford Berryman. Portraying a
real-life historical incident in which Teddy Roosevelt refused to shoot a
helpless bear cub on a hunting trip, the cartoon played a major role in
starting the Teddy bear craze. The bear cub in the drawing had a unique
“masked” face – mirroring a real toy bear that belonged to Berryman.
Exclusively for North America, Steiff presents a bear inspired by
Mr.Berryman’s recently discovered original toy bear. This 14" teddy’s
“masked” face makes him a real rarity. Made of tipped alpaca, he is perhaps
the most distinctive bear in our 2007 collection. Here’s your chance to own
a piece of history. Add the Berryman Bear to your collection today!

Oskar
EAN 669705
This reproduction of the gorgeous 13"
antique bear named “Oskar” who sold for five-figures at the 2006 Steiff
Festival in Giengen (home of the legendary Steiff factory) perfectly
captures his dignified profile and radiant personality. Because his
shape reminded Steiff so much of a treasured vintage bear, they added light
airbrushing around his paw pads to give Oskar an antique feel. Oskar
is a true original -- designed for the true collector in you.

Antiques Roadshow Bear
EAN 669767
This 12" Steiff teddy is inspired by an “Antiques Roadshow” find which
fetched a five figure appraisal! Known as a "Teddy Baby," this distinctive
style is one of the most beloved Steiff designs ever. Introduced in 1930, it
was an instant hit because of its child-like features. Our 2007 version has
been lightly distressed to give it an antique appearance - just like the
original that appeared on television.

Catalogue Bear
EAN 037177
The Catalogue Teddy bear represents a double debut. Firstly, he is
launching a completely new series of exclusive and artistically designed
theme bears in an avant garde style. Secondly, he is made of a material
that is completely new and not previously used by Steiff, namely
elaborately printed fabric. Although one Steiff Teddy bear is never
exactly the same as the next because they are all individually made by
hand, each of these Catalogue Teddy bears is genuinely unique. Their
"fur" with motifs from the hundred-year old catalogues is cut from the
lengths of fabric at random and so each bear is patterned differently.

Alpaca Classic Teddy Bear
EAN 038280
This 13 inch tall Teddy bear has come a long way. Its
cuddly fur comes from the South American Andes, where the air is thin and
the nights are cold, nature has provided it with one of the finest and
softest types of animal hair in the world. No more than every two years,
these are shorn carefully by the South American Indios and made into a woven
fur. With a little luck, it will then be made into a Teddy bear just like
this one here. This respectable Teddy bear comes with a stylish leather
collar decorated with nine gold-plated Steiff buttons. This is the
"underscored" button with the Steiff lettering from 1907

Ernst and Elsa
EAN 669682
They may differ in size, but these two Teddies share so much in common!
Based on a real pair of Steiff Teddies that spent nearly eight decades
together, 26" Ernst and Elsa will always be faithful companions. The
originals were sold at auction (as a pair, of course) in 2005 for a princely
sum by a major London auction house. This antique couple features
delicate airbrushing and careful trimming to give each bear a slightly aged
look. To ensure that Ernst and Elsa are never separated, Elsa is kept
in a velvet pouch worn around Ernst’s neck.
